Circulating Fluid Bed Boilers.
This boiler design needs, in fact directly requires, a protection from erosive effect of moving particles, which, sliding on heating surfaces, naturally erode them. Primarily affected boiler areas are::
- furnace membrane waterwalls
- furnace lower fluid bed refractory ending levels and heavily affected corners
- panel field welds levels
- inlet tubes to cyclone - furnace hockey-stick evaporator platens
- external heat exchanger and ash cooler tube coils
- tubular cyclones
